چکیده

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease of the endocrine system, characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, resulting either from insulin resistance or defective production due to dysfunction pancreatic ?-cells. Approximately 80% diabetic patients live in developing and underdeveloped countries. Pakistan ranked on 7th position regarding prevalence DM. In developed nations, DM 4th leading reason for death. Several conventional traditional methods i.e., allopathic medicines, herbal medical plants have being used treat its complications several decades. Diet-based approaches are considered safe, economical, sustainable individuals suffering various health disorders.
Objectives: The current review has been generated highlight compare utilization as an alternative source complications.
Methodology: Existing relevant literature (both research / articles) published last many years was looked over numerous sources like Google Scholar, Medline, PubMed, Research Gate, Science Direct, Scopus Web Science.
Results: Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) holistic approach treatment that combines use dietary supplements with herbs. Worldwide, approximately 30% 50% using CAM. Aloe vera (AV) known “miracle plant” extensively commercial products. AV contains bioactive components such vitamins, saponins, salicylic acid, minerals, lignin, enzymes, anthraquinones, amino acids which responsible health-promoting activities body. Isolated employed nutraceuticals pharmaceutical items claimed antioxidant potential. Phytosterol compounds phenol cycloartenol downregulate synthesis fatty acid increases oxidation liver results decrease lipid deposition.
Conclusion: From above analysis, it therefore concluded herbaceous medicine can be encouraged prevent problems.

Evaluation of antioxidant potential of aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) extracts.

The polysaccharide and flavonoid concentrations of two-, three-, and four-year-old Aloe vera were determined, and their antioxidant activities were evaluated compared to BHT and alpha-tocopherol by the DPPH radical scavenging method and the linoleic acid system at 100 microg of soluble solids per mL of ethanol. The results showed that three-year-old Aloe vera contained significantly higher leve...

Structural Modifications of Fructans in Aloe barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera) Grown under Water Stress

Aloe barbadensis Miller (Aloe vera) has a Crassulaceae acid metabolism which grants the plant great tolerance to water restrictions. Carbohydrates such as acemannans and fructans are among the molecules responsible for tolerating water deficit in other plant species. Nevertheless, fructans, which are prebiotic compounds, have not been described nor studied in Aloe vera, whose leaf gel is known ...
